Designed for retrofitting 2″ rafters on existing timber roofs with a 5-40° pitch, the 50mm Rafter Main Bar, along with other Sunwood components, effectively seals leaks and revitalizes your roof’s appearance. It’s equally ideal for new installations, providing an attractive, low-maintenance, and long-lasting capping solution.
Key Specifications:
- Includes a 50mm Rafter Main Bar Top Cap with a detachable cover cap to conceal and protect fixings.
- Features an integrated High Side EPDM Rubber Gasket for a watertight seal on the top side of the glazing.
- Comes with a separate EPDM Base Gasket (with a removable central pip) that serves as a seat and seal on the underside of the glazing, attaching to the timber rafter.

Description
At 50mm wide, the concealed fixings rafter supported glazing bar is used to cap single, double or even triple glazed glass. It can also be used for acrylic, structured polycarbonate or solid polycarbonate. It also includes a high quality EPDM gasket which helps to keep the glazing in place.
It’s versatility means that it can be installed in either wet or dry conditions without compromising costs.
The universal rafter bar is ideal for:
